How can I write an article?

To write an article you need to be logged in (so you need to have an account very first) and you have to be in a certain usergroup which gives you special abilities and further access to the page. If you have got an account, you are logged in and you belong to a usergroup which is allowed to write articles, the button "Submit an article" (picture) should be available in the user menu beneath the login menu.

Press that button and you can see an interface in the middle of the page, where you can author your article. You have several user-friendly options to write your article like insert a link or insert a table. Furthermore you can refer to another article in the ScattPort page, use the function Linkr (picture) below therefore. To insert images use the Image (picture) function beside Linkr. Here you can upload images and insert them into your text.

Make sure you have selected a Section and a Category (picture) (view also How does that whole Sections and Categories stuff works?) in which your article fits.
