Call for papers

Workshop "Nano structures on surfaces and light scattering"

Institut für Werkstofftechnik, IWT, Bremen, 24. + 25. March 2011

New deadline: 15. Feb. 2011

Travel and Hotel information

Light scattering by nano structures or nano particles is of interest in various kinds of applications such as scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM), surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), defect characterization,  electron-energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS) and evanescent wave scattering.

At the workshop we like to discus the latest theoretical approaches and computational tools to simulate light scattering by structures or particles on plane interfaces taking into account particle - surface scattering interaction. The latest findings in the field will be presented and discussed.
